Rate limits
Per-key budgets for reads, writes and sends.
Limits are counted per key, in fixed windows. Each route belongs to one bucket, shown on its reference page.

| Read | 120 requests / minute | Every GET, plus the MCP endpoint itself. |
| Write | 60 requests / minute | Changes that stay inside BatZap: tags, assignment, status, notes. |
| Send | 10 / minute and 300 / day | Anything that reaches WhatsApp: sending, editing, starting conversations, media upload, creating groups and adding participants. |
Going over a limit returns 429 with a Retry-After header, in seconds. Wait that long before retrying; retrying in a tight loop only extends the block.
The send bucket is deliberately small. It protects your number: WhatsApp bans numbers that look automated, and that cannot be undone from our side.
