    Opens a 1:1 conversation with a phone number and sends the first message. Checks that the number has WhatsApp, creates the contact if needed and reuses an open conversation if there is one.

    Without integration_id, the organization's primary number sends.

    integration_iduuidoptional

    WhatsApp number to act from (see List integrations). Filled in automatically when the key is restricted to a single number.

    Errors

    400
    Missing field, or Invalid phone number format. Must be E.164 format (e.g., +5511987654321).
    404
    No active WhatsApp connection found for organization.
